Microsoft’s latest string of conferences for SharePoint will be held in Seattle, Washington, at the Washington State Convention Center in August. SharePoint Fest, a set of SharePoint training conferences offering classes and workshops made for power users, SharePoint administrators, business analysts, software developers, information architects and knowledge workers, will be in Seattle from August 18 – 20.  

What is SharePoint Fest?

  If you are heading to SharePoint Fest in Seattle, you will be able to attend a number of classes and technical workshops taught by experts ranging from Microsoft MVPs, Microsoft Certified Trainers and Microsoft engineers. These classes and workshops are going to cover a wide range of topics, including Social SharePoint, Implementation/Administration, SharePoint Development, Workflow, Office 365, Special Topics, Business Intelligence, Business Value, Power Users and more. Attendees will be able to choose a complete learning track or simply mix and match topics in order to meet the current needs of yourself or your organization.

Tracks Offered at SharePoint Fest – Seattle

  There will be 12 tracks offered this year in Seattle, with topics including:  

• Search Track – These sessions will focus on search and enterprise search as one of Microsoft’s large investment areas. This area has had a great amount of depth added to many levels of SharePoint, and items that will be discussed include FAST for SharePoint, Search and Records Management and Enterprise Search.
• Office 365 Track – The now cloud-based platform has already had a huge impact on the structure of many organizations IT functions. As Microsoft brings even more capabilities and features online, applications that were once only on-premises can now be moved directly to the cloud.
• SharePoint 2013 Track – These sessions will be specific to SharePoint 2013. Attendees will be able to fully experience the new possibilities and features within SharePoint’s latest version.
• Workflow Track – These track sessions will focus specifically on SharePoint workflow, highlighting the many choices that SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013 provide in tooling in order to better fit your company’s needs for creating and then maintaining workflow models.
